About this event
Story House Ithaca and The Soil Factory present a professionally filmed version of the play Mine by Anna Evtushenko, who recently received a PhD in Information Science at Cornell. The play was originally written in Russian but is performed here in English. The film runs 66 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A.
Synopsis:
Ally’s life is limited to four gray walls. Diane is her window to a brighter future, and Ally thinks she knows her, but she doesn't. Set in Russia and here, in the past and now, Mine blends realism and abstraction and asks whether we really know anything and how we can deal with it.
The Cornell Sun called it "a harrowing exploration of personal collapse and societal decay."
